Adelaide Wine Barrels

I love the oak have four of them now they age my whiskey & rum the taste and smoothness makes it enjoyable 👍👍👍👍

A very well made barrel.
I filled it with water for about 3 days and did not get one drop leaking.
Now to wait for the Port and Brandy to blend together and mature in the barrel.
Excellent product.

Very fast service, good product

Easy to set up .... only one small leak which was rectified in a couple of days.
Now aging some Muscat ... looking forward to sampling it!

The barrel I purchased arrived quickly. The barrel took up overnight, I have filled it with Whiskey and the oak flavours coming from the barrel are very nice.

Love it, priming it with port 1st for 3 weeks before placing my rum in, problem is I keeping hitting it each day wirh 2 shot glass hits ( do I have a problem?) as it just tastes better from a barrel (maybe just me)..(Yummier) I have ordered a 3Ltr barrel and of tawny for my son also, .....if I dont keep it lol...

Recently purchased to barrel age a negroni cocktail blend from a much loved local distillery. In the past I have barrel aged both port and spirits, with great success. Was told that the higher the ABV in main base spirit the more flavour is extracted from the wood. However, this time I am going with a slow burn approach. Lower ABV (38%) dry gin showing a strong character of pine aromas & flavours and a hint of juniper and citus. As for the bitter and sweet vermouth components, full flavoured all steam ahead. I am quite happy with the craftsmanship and in particular looking forward to the nuances, flavours and colour that this barrel will impart on my blend over time. Job well done.

This is my third barrel and I’m very happy. I love it.

My husband absolutely loved the barrel and the engraving — it was the perfect gift for our tenth anniversary. Communication from John and Angus was fantastic throughout the whole process, and they were more than happy to answer any questions I had. I was also amazed at how quickly it was ready — just three days after placing my order! I would definitely purchase from them again and highly recommend them.
