Adelaide Wine Barrels

A little fruity and obviously somewhat medicinal in its raw state. I am very much looking forward to seeing how this tastes in the months ahead!

This is a very good looking and great build quality barrel. It came with instructions on how to prepare it for use which are quite simple. Looking forward to the whisky that is going to eventually come out of it

John, Luke and the team were able to arrange the shipping of the barrel I ordered so very quickly (I was short on time) and it arrived with days to spare. The barrel looks fantastic and will very much suit the decor of the house. Hubby can't wait to set it up and get going.

Love the 1.5lt barrel. Soaked with water then 24hr rinse with chardonnay. 5 days later decanted from barrel and added few mls of ‘Cereal Notes’, ‘Fruity Esters’, and Glycerine for a whiskey similar to Bruichladdich. Second batch in the barrel and expecting better flavour to follow…

The barrel is excellent the workmanship is great.

I bought the 2L "new make whisky spirit" and have decided to bottle it up with burnt gumtree burl chips inside the bottles to rapidly age it, I did try some of the "new make whisky spirit" in a shot glass and it hits you surprisingly quickly getting you rather bent, I couldn't taste anything really as it was missing all flavour notes (unaged) or I was so bent I can't remember :)
Adelaide Wine Barrels is the only website ever that I've found who'll sell you unaged alcohol thats over 1 litre, any other time you'll have to recreate it in your back shed🤫 ☆☆☆☆☆ & I'm keen to try their 2L brandy.

The barrel is of great quality and exactly what I wanted.

Already filled with alcohol and am waiting for the results.Barrel is great no leaks at all.Next step is putting a finish on the oak staves.

The hardest part about this is the waiting for my Whisky to age!
