Oak Barrel Sealing Wax

Our barrels have no liner or foil bladder, meaning without proper care and maintenance they may leak. If your barrel happens to spring a leak, our barrel wax can simply be used to form a seal on the outside of ther barrel

Size: approx 30 grams of wax (40mm x 40mm x 20mm)

instructions of use:

If you have weeping or leaks that persist you can seal them by applying the barrel wax (beeswax), then using a hair dryer to melt the wax so it can work its way into the leak to block it up.  The oak must be dry in order for the wax to adhere and seal the barrel.  Never place wax on the inside of the barrel as it will spoil the contents of the barrel. It is recommended to loosen the stopper/bung whilst doing this and never use and open flame to melt the wax
