The whiskey will come clear in colour in a 2L container, giving you the experience of ageing it from the very start to final product, watch as your whiskey goes from clear to a crisp golden colour as it ages in one of our oak barrels taking on the flavours and colour of the oak to your personally desired level of ageing.
New-Make Whiskey is typically aged for 2 years in a virgin American oak barrel of 200L size, but with smaller barrels with higher Surface Area to Volume ratio you can achieve the same results in a matter of weeks/months. BUT remember, when ageing spirit in an oak barrel there will always be a rate of evaporation (the angels share) dependent on the climate and storage of the barrel so regularly checking and taste testing is recommended.
