Barrel arrived in exellent condition.cured with cream sherry.now filled with brandy and a muscat from Griffith..
Sits next to my 30 litrre European oak cask.
Which is port and brandy ..started with 1928 para liquer port..
Will purchase a 10litre barrel soon

Bought a beautiful virgin oak barrel from Adelaide Wine Barrels for a wedding anniversary. Currently have the barrel swelling with water (no leaks so far) and very excited to get the tawny in, enjoy that intensely and then flavour some new-make whisky in a month or two. The 5L barrel is very cute, seems to be very well made (a few dints and scratches on the black bands but we think it adds to the character) and the little stand is sturdy and easy to assemble. Gorgeous little barrel.

We bought this NV tawny to flavour the oak and enjoy - sampled it the night it was delivered and we are very happy. The tawny is rich, fruity, warming and not sickly sweet. Keen to see how the flavour deepens with the oak.
